Sweeping Auger
The major components of the Sweeping Auger are rotating internal cone with a screw mounted, as well as the stationary lower part with two outlets, which is integrated into the stationary silo bottom. The bulk material is transported by the discharging screw into the rotating internal cone, where it drops into the stationary lower part. There, the material is transported to the two outlets by a distribution rotor. The discharge screw is powered from underside by a hollow shaft gear motor, which is fixed to the vertical main shaft. Also the distribution rotor is connected to the main shaft. In order to activate the complete silo bottom, the internal cone with screw rotates around the silo vertical axis. The rotating cone is driven by a geared motor via a pinion shaft to the ball bearing slewing gear, which is located between the stationary lower part and the revolving inner cone.
